Cooktown Offshore / Ribbon Reefs
Join us this season for a trip of a lifetime to fish the reefs offshore of the historical town of Cooktown including the Ribbon Reefs. The Cooktown Offshore and Ribbon Reef Fishing Tours give you access to some of the worlds largest fish from 1000lb Black Marlin, to large numbers of GT’s, Yellowfin tuna, Dogtooth and a myriad of different reef species.
There are ten reefs that make up the Ribbon reefs – number 1 starts in the south and number ten which is the largest of the reefs (around 30km long) to the north. The reefs run almost directly North to South, stretching over 100km of the pristine and remote coastline of far north Queensland. They also offer great protection in heavy weather and are home to some incredible fishing. This location also offers some great inshore grounds to the west which also offer some great sportfishing and a shot at some of the inshore species such as big queen fish, fingermark and long tail tuna.
Port Douglas Offshore
There are several locations we visit depending on the weather, time of year, and species you want to target. Expect good numbers of GT’s, dogtooth tuna, black marlin, red emperor, nannygai, trout, and many other incredible species that call the reef home.
