I don’t think the Bugatti Reef region needs an introduction. From my early days fishing topwater on the GBR it quickly got a name for itself as a world class GT destination. We won’t only fish Bugatti Reef itself, there are a number of surrounding reefs and anchorages we will visit in your week aboard with us to ensure we maximise your experience.

Tour Overview
Join us as we start our migration North and fish the world-famous Bugatti Reef. Nick has worked in this area from the early days of exploring these regions some 15 years ago. His close connection with the area has drawn him back here to rekindle some of the unsettled vendettas he still has on some of the points and ledges.
You will be joining us via Seaplane or Helicopter to one of the outer reefs where you will meet our team and board our mothership the MV Savannah. As you prepare yourself for the week ahead our team will brief you on the plan for the week and start to get things ready. You’ll notice from the moment you first get to this area that there is something different about it. The region has a fast pace about it, big tides, heavy hitters and fish that will use every bit of current to their ability to break you, regardless of the size. This area requires our anglers to be ballsy, test their drags and tackle to the limits to maximise their results.
The bycatch available in the area is endless and species you can expect to catch will range from GT’s, Spanish mackerel, longtail tuna, red bass, coral trout, bluefin trevally and the list goes on. There are also a number of different species available while light and heavy jigging.
Bugatti reef is one of those locations that every Topwater Angler needs to visit at least once on his life to experience the raw fast paced energy of the region.

- Rods, Reels, Tackle and lures. If you don’t have your own gear we have premium Rods and Reels for you to hire. We also have a large range of tackle and lures onboard for you to purchase if you’d like.
- Wine & Spirits (this can be pre-arranged prior to the trip)

Rod & Reel Hire Available
If you don’t have your own gear, don’t worry!! We have extremely high end gear available to our guests for hire, it is a one-off fee for the duration of the trip. We make sure it is maintained and kept up to the condition it needs to be to stop those giants. Our rods are ASWB Indian Pacific GT Tamer PE 8-10 rods, paired up with a Shimano 18000SW Saragosa and spooled with 100lb P8 braid by Platypus fishing lines. The light outfits are also ASWB PE 4-5 outfits paired with Shimano Saragosa 6000SW spooled with Platypus P8 50lb braid.
